When an orchestra plays live to film, Arne Bock mixes what happens onstage with what we hear on screen. He trained in Art of Sound at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and has worked on film concert tours, contemporary opera and installations.
In 2020 he and composer Thilo Schaller founded IMEXsound. On Invernaderos the studio is credited with immersive audio and Schaller with the score. As projections transform paintings and sculptures, what visitors hear also depends on where they stand.
All of Bach releases The Apocalypse, an opera pieced together from Bach’s music. Bock designed the stage sound, shared recording duties and edited and mixed the music.
